Eight years old and growing up in Colonial Singapore, enjoying all the elite privileges that came with having a Colonial senior police officer father. Rowena Hawkins and her immigrant family from Ceylon, were living the 1960s Singapore dream — a large bungalow with grounds, servants, lavish parties and the best toys available in the colony.
In this memoir, Rowena brings to life the people, the customs and the often outrageous incidents that made up her young years.
